Policies
AGE RESTRICTIONS

Minimum Age: 21
Drivers 21 to 24 years old are subject to a $5.00 per day surcharge.
Drivers under the age of 21 must present proof of their full coverage insurance as well as a major credit card in their name. A $25/day fee will be added for all drivers under the age of 21.
BUSINESS HOURS

Open 7 days a week, 24 hour a day. Everyday.
MILEAGE ALLOWANCE
-
Our vehicles come with free mileage allowances. Typically 150 miles free per day.
Additional miles are $0.35/mile (with exception to "Luxury" Vehicles which are $0.50/mile).
DEBIT CARDS

Debit Cards are accepted as a form of payment and security deposit for travelers with a returning airline ticket.
Residents of Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada are not permitted to use check/debit cards for deposit. The credit card used for deposit must be presented at the time of rental and must be in the same name as the renter.
DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS

Please do not double book. This may cause the system to cancel out all your reservations. Once you recieve an email confirmation your car is reserved. Call or email us to make any changes.
EQUIPMENT

Los Angeles Rent-A-Car offers many optional equipment to make your trip safe and enjoyable. Here are some of the optional equipment you can purchase:

INSURANCE

Liability protection is required to drive in the State of California.
Customers may purchase waivers or bring proof of insurance at the time of rental. Optional waivers are also available for extended protection.
LOCAL RENTERS
-
Local renters must provide a VISA or MasterCard without a debit logo on it. The credit card used for deposit must be presented at the time of rental and must be in the same name as the renter.
ONE-WAY
-
We do not currnetly offer one-way rentals. Vehicles must be returned to the same location in Los Angeles by LAX.
PAYMENT
-
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Travelrs Checks, and Cash as methods of payment. In addition to the rental fee, a security deposit is also due at the time of rental. The security deposit amount depends on the type of vehicle and is typically $350. Deposit is taken on a major credit card.
PICKUP/DROP
-
We have a courtesy shuttle that can pick you up from LAX and surrounding hotels. No charge for pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport and at airport hotels. Once you collect your luggage call us at 310-670-9946 to request a pick-up. Our shuttles do not circle the airport, they are sent on demand directly to your specific terminal after you call. We will pick you up under the RED SIGN that reads Hotel and Courtesy Shuttle.
SHUTTLE

Please call us at 310-670-9946 and we will arrange for our courtesy shuttle to come pick you up at LAX or a surrounding LAX hotel.
TRAVELING TO CANADA

Vehicle are not permited to travel outside the United States.

Luxury Vehicle Rules
-
All drivers must present a valid drivers license and credit card in their own name. The rental fee and a $5000.00 deposit will be taken at the time of rental. Drivers must have a safe driving record and may be subject to a Department of Motor Vehicle check. Full coverage insurance is required on all our luxury vehicles and must be verified prior to rental.
